Synchronicity

What is It and what are its Foundations and Functions
The purpose of my blog is to explore the concept of synchronicity to determine the following:
  • Whether it really exists
  • What are its foundations
  • What are its functions
  • How has it been recognized throughout the ages
  • Give examples of synchronicities
  • How to be in-tuned to it
What is Synchronicity?

  • Meaningful events that occur without any having any apparent
    physical cause and effect conditions
  • They may only be meaningful to the person experiencing them
  • They can sometimes be acted upon
  • They can lead to some emotional resolution
It is my belief that in our day and age we need to reconnect with the unseen world
  • We need a reason to have faith in the unseen
  • We need a belief that we are all one even with all life
  • We need to understand that science and religion can unite to form a universal ethics

The World and Everything in it is Interconnected

                                       Everything and Everyone is Interconnected

Most of the Universe is Unseen

My beliefs are that there is much secular evidence that indicates that there is an unseen world that acts upon us and we on it. I believe that these topical issues suggest this case:
  • Symbiosis                          Interspecies cooperation is widespread
  • Earth System Science        The global spheres are all interconnected
  • Entanglement of Objects    Objects far removed still affect each other
  • Epigenetics                        There is evidence of  the genetic transfer of experience
  • Deeper reality                    There is an implied underlying order
  • Holographic Universe         Physical nature and time may be illusionary
  • Duality                               Physical things have a dual nature
  • Dark Matter                       The cosmos is more than we can see and detect
Types of Synchronicities:
  • Predictive
  • Guiding
  • Confirmations
  • Connections
  • Warning
  • Assistance
  • Protection
  • Character Building
This is my belief and hope

  • I believe that religion and other faiths provide many metaphors and teachings that indicates that synchronicity exists.
  • I believe that secular science have advanced to the state that they are in agreement with spiritual traditions.
  • I think everyone can become responsive to synchronicities in their lives.
  • I believe that meditative and contemplative practices provides means to obtain an awareness of the unseen state.

Describe a time when you experienced a synchronicity.

Thank You,

    1. The word was first in coined in 1930 by Carl Jung, a psychiatrist and a contemporary and colleague of Sigmund Freud. Both studied the subconscious, but Jung went on to theorize more metaphysical connections for the pysch. His theories have been adopted to create the well known Meyers & Briggs personality inventory test. However, such concepts have been known across the centuries by different names. Reformed Christian traditions have known it as providence. In The Hindu term, Brahman, refers to the fundamental connection of all things in the universe. The appearance of this universal oneness in the soul is called Atman. The Buddhist concept is Dharma. Both of these older teachings are more highly developed. Synchronicity is one of the features.
